In line with its endeavor  to  promote health and well-being of the residents as well as to provide quality health care services especially to the indigent families in the community of Margosatubig and its neighboring municipalities, Margosatubig Regional Hospital conducted Operation Tuli 2019  last May 21 – 22, 2019.

With the eagerness and desire to avail the free tuli and save from an expensive cost of circumcision, children together with their parents line up and patiently waited for the operation tuli to begin.  The event started with the registration and signing of consent, followed by taking of vital signs and skin testing of lidocaine was done.  After negative skin test, children proceeded to circumcision procedure with aseptic technique strictly observed.  To help facilitate the healing and prevent any complications, free medications were also prescribed and given to the clients right after the operation. The significant others accompanying the clients were given instructions on the prescribed dosage of the medication together with pertinent health teachings on post-circumcision care. They were also instructed to refer to the barangay health center for any inquiries or complaints thereafter. The Operation Tuli catered almost 250 boys coming from different municipalities.

The Operation Tuli was a success through the help of the different MRH personnel, headed by Dr. Richard Sison and Mrs. Nona Galvez for their intiring support. Dr. Lorraine Empalmado who generously prescribed and gave post op instructions, Dr. Leigh Arouet Lluisma and Dr Gio Vanni Bayawa who surgically performed the circumcision, Mrs. Henie Oliveros and Mr. Michael Salvador and other OR staff and other staff nurses who render their expertise  in the operation and to the personnel who helped and shared their time for these activity to push through.
